Job Role: Family Law Paralegal
Location: Bothell, WA
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team. This role involves providing critical support to our family law attorneys and ensuring the efficient management of family law cases, including divorce, custody, and support matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and orders.
- Conduct legal research and compile case law and statutes relevant to family law matters.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate and schedule client meetings, court hearings, and mediations.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Draft correspondence and manage discovery processes, including document production and interrogatories.
- Support attorneys during trials and hearings, including organizing exhibits and trial preparation materials.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a family law paralegal.
- Strong understanding of family law procedures and court rules in Washington State.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
